The hotel was great and delightful, my room was fabulous. I was very happy with the approachable and lovely staff and their fantastic service. The location was marvellous for me. There was Mersey Kebab Shop nearby to grab something to eat.
Shame the bathroom was not very clean.

Proximity to major attractions, historic architecture, engaging staff interactions
Noise disturbances from events ruined my relaxation!!! Cleanliness issues like hairs on furniture should be addressed!!! The convoluted bathroom setup is impractical, especially for taller guests!!! Spa access fees seem excessive for hotel guests!!!

enjoyable stay with a few minor adjustments needed
The staff provided excellent service throughout my stay, addressing all requests efficiently. The room was spacious enough for relaxation, with a comfortable bed that ensured restful sleep.
Despite the overall positive experience, the bathroom could have benefited from updated fixtures.

Perfect for a Family Getaway
The room was clean and cozy, and the presence of a cigar terrace was a cool surprise, I never thought I'd enjoy a quiet moment there after a long day.
It wasn't exactly cheap but it was still acceptable.

The building's historic charm really stands out, with beautiful architecture that tells a story. The warm cookies at check-in are a nice touch.
The shower situation was less than ideal. It flooded every time it was used and the showerhead wouldn't stay in its holder, a nagging problem that persisted in both rooms. Accessing the spa required a hefty £25 per person per hour, which feels misleading given what guests might expect for their stay. Noise from the nightclub across the street could be disruptive on weekend nights, especially for families looking for rest. Other small annoyances include poorly positioned mirrors in the room, a dimly lit space.
